Good Morning Friends,
I trust that you had a Great Thanksgiving! It is hard to believe that we are approaching the end of 2009 and tomorrow head into December. I pray that each of us have the opportunity to SLOW DOWN and embrace this season for all that God wants to show you!
I ran across this quote this weekend and wanted to share it with you:
“Salvation and Discipleship are not one and the same thing. Whenever our Lord speaks of Discipleship He prefaces what He has to say with an if. If any man come after me….Discipleship is based on devotion to Christ, not on adherence to a doctrine!”
Oswald Chambers
So far this Fall we have talked about life in the Kingdom. Christ came to establish his Kingdom and calls us to live in it. We then took a look at the Spiritual Disciplines which help those of us who claim to be Christ Followers live our life in a Kingdom manner. This quote by Chambers says….KEEP IT UP MY FRIENDS!
I am very excited about this Sunday as we start off our Christmas Series, “God’s Lessons at Christmas.” I believe the Lord wants to challenge each one of us! Remember people are discovering what God is like today by watching you!
Have a great day!

FreshBread Message Wednesday, November 25, 2009
Good Morning Friends,
Yesterday morning at 11:27 a man that has had a tremendous impact on each of you went to be with Jesus. Floyd Powers, though some of you might not know him, was a faithful supporter of Freshstart Church. He cared deeply about people. Every time I visited him in the hospital these last few weeks, he would ask me about someone at Freshstart or especially about the young people at the church. Floyd was a quite unassuming man, but he had no doubt where he was going when he died. I cannot think of a better time of year to exit this planet than to have the ability to give thanks to the Lord face to face.
Please continue to pray for Karen and the rest of the Powers family! They have been a testimony to me through this journey!
If I do not see you Wednesday night or Thursday morning, have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Relax, enjoy, and celebrate….for the Lord is God and his mercy endures forever!

Please continue to pray for the Powers family. Rejoice with Floyd, for this morning at 11:30 he ran through the gates of Heaven and came face to face with Jesus.
