Good Morning Friends,
Seek to be a redeemer today….do not condemn (REMEMBER, Jesus did not come into the world to condemn the world). Lead people out of the cave…through the gate and into the freedom that Christ won for us! (If this makes no sense to you, listen to the message from yesterday at www.freshstartchurch.com .
Let’s continue to take a look at 1 John 2…..

9-11Anyone who claims to live in God’s light and hates a brother or sister is still in the dark. It’s the person who loves brother and sister who dwells in God’s light and doesn’t block the light from others. But whoever hates is still in the dark, stumbles around in the dark, doesn’t know which end is up, blinded by the darkness.
Our relationship with God is just that – a relationship. We cannot be walking in that relationship while hating another person…. a boss, co-worker, ex-spouse, neighbor! Hate cannot be part of our life. If you are struggling with strong feelings of hate for another, remember trying to be nice is NOT the ticket here. You need to “climb into the lap of God”, “dance a little”. Ask God to bless the life of the one that you are struggling with, deepen your “being” with God and the feelings of hate will be old news!
Have a great day! Talk with you in the morning. As always, if you have any thoughts or questions send them to me at Scott@freshstartchurch.com

Good Morning FRESHSTART……
1 John 2:4-6 states :
4-6If someone claims, “I know him well!” but doesn’t keep his commandments, he’s obviously a liar. His life doesn’t match his words. But the one who keeps God’s word is the person in whom we see God’s mature love. This is the only way to be sure we’re in God. Anyone who claims to be intimate with God ought to live the same kind of life Jesus lived.

WOW, is that even possible? We’re going to lay it all out this Sunday morning. We also will be partaking in the Lord’s Supper, so don’t miss this great time together! See you then!

Good Morning Friends,
1 John 2: 1-2 –
1-2I write this, dear children, to guide you out of sin. But if anyone does sin, we have a Priest-Friend in the presence of the Father: Jesus Christ, righteous Jesus. When he served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good—not only ours, but the whole world’s.

Check that out….Jesus solved the sin problem for good – not only ours, BUT THE WHOLE WORLD’S! Now that is great news! It changes the way that you talk to people. No longer are people without hope. John tells us that Jesus took care of the sin problem for the man that sits next to you at work, for the neighbor that lives behind you, for the boy on your baseball team, and the person that seems far from God. These people do NOT need to FIX anything, they cannot do what God has already done. They have been give a huge gift by God. John tells us that God solved the sin problem for them! They can live in the Kingdom, they have the ability because of what Christ has done for them. I have found the best way to get someone to understand this is live in the Kingdom yourself; people ask questions and you get an opportunity to share the good news!
Have a great day and we will talk again in the AM. Hope you can join us this weekend as we celebrate the Lord’s Supper at Freshstart.
