Good Morning Friends!
What a GREAT DAY to be alive! Let’s continue our look at 2 Corinthians 5:17-21:
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,[a] so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
REMEMBER the word for the day! GIFT! The fact that we are new people, the fact that our old life is gone, the fact that a new life has begun is a GIFT! This has NOT happened because you are living right, this has not happened cause you have gotten your stuff together, this has not happened cause God was happy with you. Your “new person” status has NOTHING to do with you, it is a GIFT!
When you truly stop to embrace that fact…..WOW….we have an awesome GOD. There is no reason, but thanks be to God that He made the first move! Celebrate that today and we’ll talk in the AM!

Good Morning Friends,
So how is your week at work going? I asked a guy that yesterday and his answer was, “If I did not have to work, I wouldn’t” I reminded him that many are looking for a job right now, and so out of guilt he was a little thankful….but then I thought….how about me, how about you? If you did not have to work, would you? Take a few minutes and think about that? We are going to talk about how a SAINT goes to work this weekend. Don’t miss it!
Check out this scripture: “It is written: ” ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.”- Romans 14:11
So let me ask you how you see this verse. Is it uttered with a spirit of excitement, as if to say “shout for joy cause before this whole shooting match is over, everyone is going to see that I am KING!” or do you read it with more of a stern attitude, as if to say, you will bow one day whether you think you will or not, cause you will be shown that I am KING!”? With what kind of attitude do you see these words being uttered, what kind of spirit? WHY? I would love to hear your thoughts on this…drop me a note at Scott@freshstartchurch.com and let me know what you are thinking. Have a GREAT DAY!

“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”- John 10:28-30
This is a great promise from the Lord himself! There is no time that needs to be wasted on “holding on.” God does that work. Oour energy can be spent on training ourselves to be Godly. Like any training, this takes a passion and a plan as we spoke of this weekend.
Many people who claim Christ, just traveling through life and “seeing what happens” next. There is no plan to grow. Peter calls us to “prepare our minds for action.” I am praying for you. I pray that your growth is a passion, that is it something you plan for, train for. At the same time, remember the “Party” aspect we spoke of Sunday. Relax in God’s lap! When you work out muscle, it is not the weight training that causes muscle to grow….it is the relaxation between the training. Apply that to your spiritual journey and you will soar! As always, I am praying for YOU today. Have a GREAT DAY! Let’s talk in the AM!
