The writer to the Hebrews says this in chapter 12:
1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

The writer reminds us that we are surrounded by folks who have gone before us in the Christian Life! When I stop and think about this, my father comes to mind. As I mentioned yesterday, he was not a perfect man, but he sought God with all of his heart, mind and soul. He was an example to me! I believe that today he cheers me on in the presence of God. There are other people who set examples for us in Kingdom living and still walk the earth with us. Many times these people have no idea of the impact they have had in your life! Why not take a moment and send a couple of people a note this morning…thank them for their example and for cheering you on! Have a great day and let’s talk in the AM!

Good Morning Friends,
I am really excited!!!!!! As you are reading this today, I will be on my way to visit my daughter with 2 of my other children going with me for the trip. I LOVE SPENDING TIME with my kids! My daughter even called me this evening with what she called a “situation”. I could tell she was excited that I was coming over.
Our heavenly Father has even more excitement to spend time with you! Have you shared with him your “situation” this morning! He is excited to visit today, take some time and walk with your father, laugh, and cry and enjoy his touch! Listen to him, read His Word, and walk on the narrow path which he leads us on! Have a wonderful day!

Scott

Hebrews 5:11-13 says
11-14I have a lot more to say about this, but it is hard to get it across to you since you’ve picked up this bad habit of not listening. By this time you ought to be teachers yourselves, yet here I find you need someone to sit down with you and go over the basics on God again, starting from square one—baby’s milk, when you should have been on solid food long ago! Milk is for beginners, inexperienced in God’s ways; solid food is for the mature, who have some practice in telling right from wrong.

The writer to the Hebrews talks about the problem of NOT LISTENING. Many times when we become too comfortable in our faith, walk, life it is easy to stop listening. This is what happens when we seek the “chair” we spoke of this week. ARE YOU LISTENING? What have you learned this week? What has the Lord taught you? Share that with someone else. Keep listening for God is always teaching! Have a great day and let’s talk in the AM.
