Good Morning Friends,
This week we have been talking about training ourselves to be Godly. REMEMBER you do not do this to gain God’s favor or to be part of his team. You have been traded, we must embrace who we are. Many people might think this is an individual choice, but keep these words of scripture in mind.

“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”- Romans 12:4-5

You see God has gifted each of us differently. The scripture calls us to grow in this giftedness (or train). When we choose not to, our life not only ceases to point people to Jesus, but we let the team down! WE ALL MATTER. I encourage you to continue to take the steps to “train yourself to be Godly.” If you need some help or direction, drop me a note at Scott@freshstartchurch.com . Have a great day! See you in the AM.

One last thing…if you are traveling this weekend, have a great one; if you are in town, join us as we worship at the communion table.

Scott

Good Morning Friends,
The prophet Isaiah says:
26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

Training takes FOCUS! We need to fix our minds on Christ Jesus that author and PERFECTER of our faith. The prophet tells us that peace comes to those whose thoughts are fixed on Jesus/God! What kind of thoughts? If you are training in communication in your marriage, stay focused, consume your thinking with God’s plan, train, learn to communicate as a child of God in a marriage. What you fix your mind on matters, it is part of good training practice, it brings peace!

Have a great day! I am praying for your training….STOP TRYING! See you tomorrow!

Good Morning Friends,
First of all, I want to thank you for your feedback last week. I received over 75 e-mails literally from around the world of how you looked forward to FreshBread. All I wanted is to make sure is that the time is well used for the kingdom!

Yesterday morning we looked at Matthew 5: 13-16:

13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. 14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

We looked at the fact that GOD has made you Valuable and Visible in his Kingdom. WE cannot TRY TO BE WHO GOD WANTS US TO BE…..He has remade us that way. WE NEED TO TRAIN ourselves to be Godly. If we try to be Godly, we are NOT accepting what he did for us, we are trying to do it ourselves. So how is your training going?

Many of you identified an area of your life that you need training in…..marriage, finances, anger, parenting, etc. I trust that you will move forward in that effort. You may not know where to begin. I am willing to help you find a training path for you, for as we mentioned yesterday….if we try, or sit in idleness, the salt (you) loses it flavor (value in the Kingdom). Your light has gone out!

I was not watching who was lighting a candle or picking up a clothespin after the message yesterday, but I know that God knows, and I am asking him to guide you in all truth! If I can help you in ANY WAY, please do not hesitate to give me a call! (813-814-1128) YOU ARE THE APPLE OF GOD’S EYE!

Let’s talk tomorrow,
Scott
