Today is day # 15 of your 21 day adventure……make sure you spend some scheduled time with God today….in a special place…..in a special way….it’s something He looks forward to!

Today’s Readings: Deuteronomy 6, Psalm 89, Isaiah 34, Revelation 4

Today’s Key Verse: Revelation 4:11
“You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created everything, and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created.”

John is once again shown an incredible sight…the throne room of heaven. This was an important picture for these first century believers for once again Domitian had a throne with people singing to him. John is encouraging them NOT to bow to Domitian, for he is NOT on the throne.

Verse 11 reminds us that we are created for God’s pleasure. It is really hard to become selfish when you keep that in mind. So let me ask you this….how will you bring pleasure to God today…..maybe by walking in your freedom? Just a thought to ponder.

Make sure you invite someone and join us this Sunday for Super Sunday!

Today is day # 12 of your 21 day adventure……make sure you spend some scheduled time with God today….in a special place…..in a special way….it’s something He looks forward to! Today’s Readings: Deuteronomy 5, Psalm 88, Isaiah 33, Revelation 3

Today’s Key Verse: Revelation 3:15-16
15″I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other! 16But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth!

Interesting…God is wanting you to be hot or cold….I thought he would just want you to be hot, but no he throws in cold….WHY? Lukewarm is confusing….you do not know whether it is more cold or more hot….when someone is hot or cold there is no question. God would rather you be honestly cold then pretending to be committed while being “lukewarm” So how’s the heat? Just some thoughts to ponder!

Today is day # 11 of your 21 day adventure……make sure you spend some scheduled time with God today….in a special place…..in a special way….it’s something He looks forward to! Today’s Readings: Deuteronomy 4, Psalm 86 & 87, Isaiah 32, Revelation 2

Today’s Key Verse: Revelation 2:5
5Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again and work as you did at first. If you don’t, I will come and remove your lamp stand from its place among the churches.

Check this out. Emperor Domitian had an Olympic games that he started. The different groups of competitors would stand before him and he would address them. He would start in with what he liked about them and then say…but this is what I have against you…..God used this same format to communicate what Jesus said to the churches….WOW did this wake the people up or what? I encourage you to read what God says to the churches for many of the struggles they had we are still dealing with. Have a great day….and we will talk in the morning….

Did I mention this weekend….make sure you find someone to come with you! You will be glad that you did!
