Today’s FreshBread – Oct. 31

Today’s Reading is Matthew 1:1-16

Today we start a whole new FreshBread! We will be reading through the Gospels…Matthew , Mark, Luke, and John. It would be great if you could take time to sign up a friend and let them start this journey with us!

God always THINKS BIG! And the cool thing we can learn from today’s reading is that no matter whom God chooses to use, His big plans are not sidestepped. You see, if you carefully look over all the names that you read through today you will find a liar, a cheater, an adulterer, men who’s hearts were far from God and many other people that you and I would not choose to count on for a BIG JOB! BUT…..GOD DID!

That is of great comfort to me! God’s plans are not messed up by the mess of my life. God has chosen to use people who have been way off course in life. Camp in that for a minute and think about how that might change in the way we view people.

One of the things we will talk about at FreshStart this morning is that if we are going to Obey God we must be “OTHERS” focused. God wants us to care for people, to love them as His children and to share with them the truth of Jesus so they can call out to Him for freedom from the prison of this life!

If WE are going to THINK BIG we must keep our eyes of Jesus and allow Him to teach us to have a Godly perspective when it comes to people!

Have a Great day! THINK BIG!

Today’s Reading is 1 Samuel 17

Dear Friends,
Tomorrow we will start our THINK BIG campaign. As part of this campaign we will be studying 1 Samuel 17 for the next 6 weeks. I invite you to read through the chapter today to prepare for tomorrow’s service!

We are going to have a great time tomorrow so let me ask you to do three things:

1. Remember to set your clocks back 1 hour tonight,
2. Invite a friend to join you tomorrow!
3. Please pray for my flight home tonight home from PA!

See you in the AM!

Think Big!

Today’s FreshBread – Oct. 29

Today’s Reading is Matthew 13:31-32

This Sunday will be a monumental Day in the History of FreshStart! I hope that you will be able to be there! We are kicking off the THINK BIG campaign! We have a HUGE challenge in front of us as we raise a down payment to purchase a piece of property for a permanent home for FreshStart! It is easy to look at this challenge and wonder if it is possible! Well I want you to know that it is very possible if we THINK BIG!

In our reading today Jesus held up a very small seed, called a mustard seed. However when it is planted and grows it becomes the biggest of all plants!

A farmer has NOTHING to do with a plant growing. He can plant the very small seed, water it and make sure it is in good light….but the miracle of Growth into something BIG is up to God!

Our challenge in this campaign will be to take whatever God might call us to plant….no matter how small it may seem and allow God to turn it into something BIG! Would you begin to pray for Sunday right now? Here are some things I would like to ask you to pray about!

1. Pray that we will have a great attendance this Sunday! And for all six weeks of the campaign).
2. Pray that God will help us understand the challenge!
3. Pray for the Directors of the Campaign!
4. Pray that you would hear God’s voice!

5. I would like to ask you to pray for my return flight from PA this Saturday Night!

Thanks…see you tomorrow in FreshBread and Sunday in Church!
