Today’s Reading is 2 Chronicles 21-24
Every once in a while as I am reading the scripture a few “random” words pop out at me. That happened today! Right in the middle of 2 Chronicles 21:20 we read these words, “No one was sorry when he died.” Camp on that for a minute!
So when you die who will be sorry? Okay, some close family members, but whom else? I mean truly sorry. It seems to me that the people who will miss you the most when you die are those whom you have made an impact in their life. Who are they and are you sure of the impact you are having? If you are pretty confident, then here is a challenge. Pick at least a half a dozen people and ask them to anonymously to answer a few questions for you:
What impact do I have on you?
What am I like to work/live with, and what don’t you want to bring up with me?
Ask them to be honest and mail the answers to you in an addressed envelope that you will provide. All of a sudden you will get a handle on impact.
We need to live and trust God, allowing Him to make an impact in other’s lives through us. WARNING: Seeking to please God not others it is the only way to have a real impact!
Have a great day!
Instead of asking questions today, find 6 friends to answer the questions above!

Today’s Reading is 2 Chronicles 18-20
A lying spirit can be a disaster! Every one of us has been affected by the lie of another person. When we finally figure it out it causes hurt, pain, money, a lot of lost time and breaks trust between people. King Ahab’s prophets lied to him and their direction would have fatal results! HOWEVER even worse is a lying spirit that we use to talk to ourselves!
Many times people live without the ability to see the truth. We lie to ourselves about relationship issues, finances, addictions, our children, and the list goes on. The tragedy here is that when we truly need help, in these areas, we never get it because we have kept ourselves from seeing the truth. Usually we have lead ourselves to believe that these things are our battle and we need to handle them, and to make ourselves feel good we claim we are doing a great job.
In our scripture this morning, Ahab and Jehoshaphat had a battle to fight. Ahab believed he could win, because his prophets told him that with a lying spirit. Jehoshaphat knew that he could not win because God’s Prophet told him the truth. God said follow me and do as I say and you will win without fighting!
Friends, if we are never honest with ourselves we can never win the battles that rage against us. We need a new direction! Look in the mirror….how is your marriage, finances, your kids, job, attitude, your relationship with God? Don’t try to fix these things yourself…the battle is the Lord’s…but you do have to follow Him in obedience! Have a great day today and stay in front of the “mirror” as long as you have to!

Today’s Reading is 2 Chronicles 2-5
So have you had a long day? Well, I have a suggestion. Raise your hands and praise the Lord with these words: “He is Good! His faithful and love endures forever! (5:13)
When this happened in the book of Chronicles the spirit of the Lord filled the temple. Well, friends when you and I praise the Lord, He inhabits the praises of His people! So, having a bad day? Go a head and praise the Lord and let Him fill the temple of your heart! Have a great day!
